Happy last week of school!
It's hard to believe the year is winding down. What a fantastic year it has been.
As this is the last week of school, there are many important dates and events to be aware of.
*Riverside awards program will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am. You are invited and encouraged to attend this ceremony. Many of our students will be receiving awards, and we'd love to see you there! If your student is receiving an award, a letter was sent home last week. Please have your student dress up for this. *Students will be turning in their computers and chargers by the end of the day. Please be sure they have taken both things to school this week.
*On Thursday, students should be bringing their red folders home with many important documents. They should have their report cards, ISTEP reports, and ISTEP access codes to view their scores online. Please check in with them about these items.
*Today after school at 3:30 pm, the 6th grade basketball team will play the staff as a fundraiser for Relay for Life. The cost is $1. We'd love to have you come support the students and staff at this game!
*Thursday afternoon will be the Relay for Life Fun Fair. 6th graders will be able to purchase tickets for food, activities, and games. Each ticket costs $1, and all proceeds go to Relay for Life. While all students will be given two free tickets, students are welcome to buy as many tickets as they'd like to participate in the different activities for the afternoon.
Please note there is no Achieve 3000 or IXL homework this week. When the students finish their kites in math, we will fly them on Wednesday morning.
As we wrap up the year, we'd like to thank you for your flexibility, support, and growth-mindset. We have enjoyed your student immensely, and thank you for the opportunity to be their teachers. The talents and abilities of our 6th graders is impressive; they all have enormous amounts of potential.
Thank you for all of your time this year.
Have a wonderful summer,
6th Grade PBL Facilitators
