Written Communication is assessed on the following criteria: Opinion/theme is evident throughout the text, ideas are organized, linking words are used to connect ideas and/or sections of the text, uses grade-level style/tone and vocabulary, and the text has minor errors is grammar, usage, and mechanics do not interfere with the reader's ability to understand the writing.
